Wildlife conservation Wildlife conservation is a huge concept which encompasses a wide range of different scientific and non-scientific methods which attempt to reduce the numbers of endangered species, monitor and record extinctions, limit the population of threatened or endangered species, improve animal health and wellbeing, and increase sustainable use of wildlife resources (such as land, oceans, snow, etc.). Wildlife conservation also refers to the systematic practice of preserving wild areas and their natural ecosystems so as to sustainably bring or preserve, enhance or restore natural ecosystems and to keep natural wildlife populations in balance. The aim of this is to ensure a sustainable use of wildlife and wild habitats, while protecting them from human intrusion and habitat loss.
